My Quote

"Maybe our mistakes are what makes our fate. Without them, what would shape our lives? Perhaps if we never veered off course we wouldn't fall in love, or be who we are. After all seasons change. So do cities. People come in our lives and people go. But it's comforting...the ones you love are always in your heart. And if you're lucky, always will be."-Miranda Brogdon

Yummy treat!!!

Ok so I've not been eating so well lately and have been eating a TON of candies so while snooping around on the board I'm on I ran across the recipe for these bars, now I have altered the recipe from its original form to my likings but I hope you guys enjoy it!!

Protein bars!!!
2 1/2 cups old-fashioned oats
1 cup shredded coconut (not sugared, you'll find this is the frozen section) or 1 full bag
1 cup dried cherries
1 cup dried blueberries
1 cup dried apples
1 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
1 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup cashews
1/2 milled fax seed

Throw all ingredients in a large bowl, mix together thoroughly. Then on the stove warm up a 1 1/2 bottles of honey. Once the honey is extremely liquidy pour into the bowl and mix until combined well. Grease a 9x13" pan and pour in mixture. Bake at 250 degrees for about 50-55 minutes. Let cool about 15 mins and then cute into bars. Once cooled completely wrap bars individually and store in container!!

Note: you can use brown rice syrup or sweetened condensed milk rather than honey.
